Frequently Asked Questions
General
How do you set your prices / why are they so low?
I make pottery in my spare time for fun, and my prices reflect that. For most pieces, you're paying only for the cost of the materials and studio time required to make them.
As such, many of my pieces won't be perfect, and will not be as refined as something you'd purchase from a professional potter. Please keep this in mind when ordering, and set your expectations accordingly.
Is there a limit to how much I can buy?
While I'm thrilled that you're so excited about my work, I'd ask that you please avoid taking advantage of my low prices and buying en-masse.
There's no strict limit, but if I see particularly large orders come through, I may reach out and encourage you to pick just your favourite items :)
Do you offer returns or exchanges?
Once an order has been picked up, I do not offer refunds, returns, or exchanges for any reason — including "quality issues" like chips, cracks, breakages, and imperfections.
If your order hasn't yet been picked up, please get in touch to cancel. All cancellations are subject to a 7% credit card processing fee.
Refer to my refund policy for full details and specifics.
How often do you add new stuff?
You can probably expect a few new pieces every 2-4 weeks, although this timeframe may change during the holidays or when I'm away from home. The easiest way to hear about new pieces is to follow me on Instagram or opt-in to receive email updates during checkout.
Care & materials
Is your pottery food safe?
Yes! All of my pieces are coated with a non-toxic and food safe glaze, so feel free to show them off at your next dinner party!
Is your pottery dishwasher safe?
Yes! Cleanup is simple and easy — all of my pottery can be safely washed on the top rack of your dishwasher.
Every so often, it's also a good idea to even run it through a "Sanitize" (extra hot) cycle to keep it squeaky clean!
Is your pottery microwave/oven safe?
Yes! You can safely use my pottery to cook or reheat your favourite meal in both the microwave and oven, up to 450ºF / 230ºC.
Just be careful — pottery holds heat extremely well, so using oven mitts is recommended (even for the microwave).
Will your pottery scratch & show marks?
Pieces with shiny or glossy glazes tend to resist most scratches and marks, however pieces with matte or semi-matte glazes are susceptible to superficial scratches and marks from cutlery or other utensils.
To get your pottery looking like new, mix some baking soda and water into a paste and give it a good scrub. Scouring powders like Bar Keepers Friend will also do the trick.
Shipping & pickup
Where do you ship?
I currently only offer local pickup in Vancouver, BC.
If there's a piece you absolutely must have but you aren't located near Vancouver, BC, feel free to get in touch - I may be able to arrange having something shipped, and can provide you with information on the cost & timelines.
How does local pickup work?
After you've placed your order, wait for an email saying it's ready for pickup, then schedule an appointment to come collect it!
For all the specifics, head over to the Shipping & Pickup page.

How do you use my personal information?
I only use your information for processing and fulfilling your order. If you opt-in during checkout, I may also use your information to send you website updates and new product information.
Refer to my privacy policy for all the specifics.
Any other legal stuff I should know about?
By using my website and/or placing an order you're agreeing to my terms of service - but it's all pretty standard/boring stuff.
